Dr. Kathryn Dowd - Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Dowd has been practicing audiology for over 30 years. She received her doctorate in audiology from the School of Audiology at Salus University in Pennsylvania and a Masters in Audiology at the University of Louisville, Louisville Kentucky. She is licensed by the states of North Carolina and South Carolina and certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a fellow of  the American Academy of  Audiology (AAA).

Dr. Dowd has worked with primary care doctors, medical specialists and allied health providers to evaluate hearing and provide hearing aids to correct hearing loss.  She has the credentials, training and experience to ensure that patients get accurate information about their hearing problem and the best solutions for them. 

Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Sheild of NC and other major insurance carriers are accepted Dr. Dowd is married to Dr. Lloyd Wimberley and they have 2 children.
